ACRONYMS
This ZIP file contains a PCBoard @X code bulletin version of an article I
wrote for the Sydney PC User Group about acronyms used in email systems.
It's not intended as a list of technical terms, rather of the conversational
shortcuts used.
Since a lot of my callers are novices to computers and/or BBS'ing this
bulletin has been much read on my system.
If you don't like my colour scheme, a quick search and replace of the @X
codes will help you customise it. I've found that the alternating colour
lines make it easier to read each line.
These acronymns were collected from various sources, helpful sysops, after
dinner conversations with computer boffins and the excellent Jargon listing
(currently JARG_283.ZIP) that is great reading of itself.
If you have more to add to the list I'd appreciate you contacting me. It
seems that some people collect stamps and I've taken to collecting acronymns.
For those not lucky enough to live down under, a postcard, Compuserve
message or message on the Salt Air BBS are probably the best ways.
